Karen Contreras
President and CEO
Karen comes from a long line of farmers and owned her own production farm during the 1980’s.  She has over 35 years of gardening and farming experience, with an educational background in Chemistry, Botany, and Soil Science.  She is a Master Gardener, Master Composter, and sat on the Advisory Board of Roots San Diego and the Curriculum Committee at San Diego City College.  Karen has been a featured speaker for the APLD, the ASLA, and at the Sustainable Landscape Conference at Cuyamaca College.
